Stability AI has launched Stable Fast 3D, a new technology for generating 3D assets from a single image in just 0.5 seconds. This model creates detailed 3D assets with features like UV unwrapped mesh, material parameters, and albedo colors. Optional quad or triangle remeshing adds only 100-200ms to the process. Stable Fast 3D is designed for rapid prototyping in fields such as gaming, virtual reality, retail, architecture, and design.
Users can access the model through the Stability AI API or the Stable Assistant chatbot, which allows for sharing and interacting with 3D creations in augmented reality on compatible devices. Key use cases of rhis model include pre-production experimentation, static assets for games, 3D models for e-commerce, and fast model creation for AR/VR.
